A practical space for both people to be heard
Couples therapy is not only for relationships in crisis. Many couples reach out when they can see a pattern forming and want help before it becomes more entrenched. Others come when the relationship already feels strained and they need a clearer, safer way to talk.
Lindsay's couples work is practical, collaborative, and grounded in respect for both people in the room. The aim is not to decide who is right. It is to understand the cycle, slow it down, and build more effective ways of reaching each other.
Gottman-informed relationship work
Lindsay has completed Gottman Method Couples Therapy training, an evidence-based approach built on decades of relationship research. Sessions focus on the patterns that erode connection and the skills that help couples repair more effectively.
Her perinatal background also informs work with couples navigating pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood, a stage that can place enormous pressure on communication, intimacy, roles, sleep, identity, and emotional availability.
Therapy may focus on
- Improving communication and active listening
- Understanding repeated conflict cycles
- Rebuilding emotional connection and intimacy
- Repairing trust after rupture
- Navigating the transition to parenthood together
