The transition into adulthood can be more complex than it looks
Young adulthood often brings a strange mix of freedom and pressure. You may be making decisions about study, work, relationships, money, living arrangements, family expectations, and who you want to become, often while still feeling unsure internally.
Therapy gives you a place to slow that down. Lindsay works with young adults to understand the patterns driving anxiety, low mood, avoidance, self-criticism, or relationship stress, and to build a more grounded way of moving through this stage.
A practical and reflective approach
Some young adults want skills: tools for managing anxiety, study pressure, or emotional overwhelm. Others want deeper work around self-worth, family history, identity, or repeated relationship patterns. Most therapy includes a bit of both.
Lindsay draws on CBT, ACT, DBT, Schema Therapy, EMDR, and psychotherapy depending on what fits the person and the issue.
Therapy may help with
- Reducing anxiety and avoidance
- Managing perfectionism and self-criticism
- Understanding relationship and family patterns
- Building confidence in decision-making
- Recovering from burnout or depressive periods
